Isaac James, our fluttering adventuring bright soul, turned six at the weekend. Amongst our own (gradually decreasing) boxes, helping two other friends move home, and a family party to celebrate Mum’s 70th birthday, we catapulted into his special day with barely a smooth whisker between us. But we made it, we cycled, paddled, steered the new remote control boat and filled ourselves with rather too much chocolate …
.. and the next day had the honour of taking our boy out, just his Papa and me, for a walk in the countryside to find hidden treasures – and dinner out. For which he wore his new bow tie.
Our dear thoughtful creative sparkly eccentric Isaac, how much you bring to us – may we be more awake each day to your wisdom, may we find the space to truly see you, to listen, to understand, to hold you in the ways you need. Thank you for choosing us.
May the coming year open up in deeply connecting, truly magical ways as you adventure on; may your bright spirit be held and nurtured in all the ways you need and may you know the depth of our love for you, our dear boy of laughter, born six years ago on a summers eve amongst a cloud of butterflies.
